Marisa G. at Reading to Distraction has written a lovely review of The Choosing (A Novel of the Pruxnae), calling it “a very welcome and unique read.” She’d never read a Science Fiction Romance before! We’ll fix that, right?

Speaking of reviews, Say Yes (A Sons of the People Novel) was just reviewed by Wild Rayne at Night Owl Reviews. She gave it a 4.5 out of 5 stars, making it an NOR Top Pick.

If you’re reading through the Daughters of the People Series, don’t forget that Tempered (Book 3.5) is an integral part of the series. It’s a “.5” because it wasn’t a planned part of the series. To get a complete idea of what’s going on with the overall story arc, it really can’t be skipped. Plus, it’s a pretty darn good book. A few people thought so, anyway.

Sanctuary (Daughters of the People, Book 5) is heading down the home stretch.

The first two-thirds or so of the story take place in Turkey. I’ve had a ton of fun doing all the research. For instance, I needed to know what driving in Turkey was like. Yes, there’s a website for that. Who knew?

Last night, I was fine-tuning some of the details and stumbled on this fabulous list of one hundred Turkish foods to try while in Cappadocia, a region Drew and Jerusha spend a lot of time in. All of the foods look delicious, except maybe the tripe soup. You know what I say to that? Party! Who’s with me? (Only, can we skip the tripe?)

I’m really excited about Sanctuary. I know, I know, I always say that, and it’s always true, though for different reasons. This story has really revved me up. There’s a lot of action, a good dash of humor, and the sex scenes are hot. (Whew!) But there’s also a lot going on in the world of the People, including dealing with the Oracle, the vision the Woman with No Face left Rebecca with in Book 4, and that item Dani picked up from her future mother-in-law in “The Christmas Surprise.”

And there’s so much more to come. I’m well into planning The Gathering Storm (Book 6). In fact, the first two scenes have already been written.

But first, I have to get Sanctuary into your hands. The big hold-up right now is the cover. My cover designer had an accident (I don’t know the exact details, but ouch; it must’ve been bad) that left her hobbling and put her out of commission for a while, so we’ve had to delay working on Sanctuary‘s cover by just a little bit. Hopefully, we can begin work on it around July 1st. As soon as it’s done, I’ll announce the release date, and not long after, y’all can delve into Drew and Jerusha’s wild and wacky world.

So, about that party… 😉
