Indie Author Shout-Out: Rosalind James

Today's post was supposed to be about something very different, but when I heard that Rosalind James hit her two-year anniversary as a self-publisher today, I couldn't miss the opportunity to post about her instead. Rosalind is one of those authors who always has her hand out to help other people. Because of her and those like her, I've learned a lot about writing as a career. She is, hands down, one of the nicest authors in the business, something that's dearly appreciated.

Rosalind writes mostly contemporary romances, what I would call good, solid beach reads. She's best known for incorporating her former residence of New Zealand as a setting. Her website has tons of interesting information about the culture there and is visit-worthy all on its own. All of the books in the Escape to New Zealand Series are fun reads and a great way to vicariously flirt with hot rugby men. If you want more of the latter, be sure to stop by her Facebook page, where she regularly posts videos, etc., about rugby. Between the accents and the, erm, fitness level, New Zealand's rugby players are hot. I've put it on my list of sports to watch. 😉

Rosalind has other books out, too, if rugby and New Zealand aren't your things. (Seriously, though, what's not to love?) Her novel Welcome to Paradise (The Kincaids, Book 1) is about two people who find love while competing in a living history reality show. Coincidentally, it's available as a free download today on Amazon.

Stop by Rosalind's Facebook page, hang out for a while, and enjoy her work. I'm sure she'll have plenty more for us in the years to come.
