NaNoWriMo is over for another year. I didn't officially participate, though I did keep track of my writing. This year, I managed not quite 70,000 words written during the month, over one novel, two novelettes, and a short story. I wrote something every single day except for the last two (the 29th and 30th), which were consumed by activities related to readying two separate manuscripts (including Tempered) for publication. Congratulations to everyone who participated in 2014's National Novel Writing Month challenge!

My son and I have been listening to the audiobook of The Ruins of Gorlan (Ranger's Apprentice, Book 1) by John Flanagan (read by John Keating). This series is a perennial favorite for audio listening, particularly during those long, long car trips between visits to scattered family and friends. We also enjoy listening to the Harry Potter Series (read by Jim Dale) and the Artemis Fowl Series (read by Nathaniel Parker).
