Life has been hectic here. My son recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout. My sister's high school girls' basketball team took home the region champ title, their twenty-first win in a row, and are now headed to the state playoffs. And snow and ice have besieged us all winter long.

I'm not complaining about the weather. Far from it! To everything, there is a season, and for me, winter should include winter weather. It's good for all kinds of things, like catching up on movies missed during warmer weather, drinking a nice cup of hot chocolate, and knitting.

Ok, I knit during every season. It just feels better knitting when its icy outside.

I've got a couple of surprises coming up over the next few months. No hints, not even one. You'll just have to wait to find out what they are.
