Witches are everywhere in Cullowhee, and it's not even Halloween! Here's what I mean:
A few years ago, I wrote and published my first novella, A Higher Purpose. It was not well received, so I pulled it off the market, fully intending to revise and re-release the following year.
Then life happened and this project slid to the bottom of the pile.
No more. Over the past few weeks, I've been slowly reworking this story and bringing it in line with the high quality I demand from every story I publish and plan to publish a second edition soon.
I know a few of you will be overjoyed to hear that. Yes, I'm looking at you, Aunt Liz!
A Higher Purpose v. 2.0 will be longer and include more magic. In fact, there will be more detail all together, a lack I discovered when I began re-editing it. Plus, it will just be a smoother, more satisfying read.
In the process of re-releasing A Higher Purpose, I'm also re-branding the entire series with a new name and new covers. Ella and Adam's story is now the first book in the Cullowhee Witches Series. You can learn a little about a possible expansion of the series on my personal blog.
No promises! I'm diligently working on other stories right now, like the next Daughters of the People novel, but I will give you some hints.
The series could have four books in it when complete. Possible titles for the third and fourth books are, respectively, A Healing Heart and A Wild Ride.
If (and that's a really big if there) I do write those other two stories, a spin-off series is possible. Again, no promises except for this: If I do continue and expand the series, you'll have more magic, more history, and more romance.
I don't have a release date for the new and improved A Higher Purpose, so keep an eye out here or at Dreaming If, or sign up for my newsletter so you don't miss the announcement.
In the meantime, here's a sneak peek at the new covers for A Higher Purpose and its sister novel, A Wicked Love, the first two stories in the Cullowhee Witches Series.
