Redemption, the penultimate Daughters of the People novel, is up for preorder at a variety of retailers. The official release date is 29 July 2019, just a few days away!
Redemption has been a long time in the making. Originally, the series was only supposed to include seven books as a symbolic nod to the Seven Sisters.
Then Hawthorne and India came along and I knew they needed their own stories, which expanded the series to nine books.
Redemption is the eighth of those. I started writing it in October 2017, and finally, almost two years later, it's here.
Well, almost.
Redemption surprised me in a lot of ways. It's not just the story of India and Hiro, but of the people they love. Indigo tells a good chunk of the narrative and, of course, Rebecca makes an appearance as well as a few other faces, like Luna the Righteous, Lukas Alexiou, and the crew at BDH Security.
But it's the story itself that is fascinating. India struggles to fulfill her duty, as all Daughters do, while Hiro struggles to understand her...as mortal men do when they're involved with an immortal Daughter. It's a fun tale, but also an emotional one, and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
