The Choosing (The Pruxnae, Book 1) has undergone so many cover changes, I'm almost afraid to introduce another one.

Yet here we are with what I hope will be the right cover for this awesome Space Opera Romance.

I know, I know. I said the last cover, a "man chest" cover created by Open World Cover Designs, fit the story perfectly. But it turns out that readers didn't feel the same way.

So, once more into the breach!

The lovely cover at the top of this post was designed by Ana Cruz Arts, which also designed covers for the Oronis Knights Series by Anna Hackett.

I'm hoping this design will be the one to win over new readers, as well as satisfying existing ones, while I finish writing The Choosing's sequel.

I'm particularly concerned with winning over the men who enjoyed this series when it was released, but who may be put off by the "man chest" covers so popular in SciFi Romance right now. Younger readers (Millennials and Gen Z) also seem to dislike those covers. We'll see how this one does as I ramp up advertising and try to revitalize the series ahead of releasing the story I'm working on now.
