Speaking of TEW, L.J. Anderson, the cover designer for the Daughters of the People books, and I are working on re-doing the cover. Don't get me wrong. I like the original cover, but the changes will bring the cover into line with the story's cross-genre appeal instead of focusing solely on the romance.

I'm seriously considering renaming Tempered to The Energizer Bunny: or the First Draft that Goes On and On and On...

Ok, not seriously. First, I'm pretty sure Energizer would bring the wrath of their lawyers down upon me, and second...there is no second. Anyway, this one really is going on and on and on. Just when I think I've hit the end, nope! Aaron and Hawthorne tell me there's more left to their tale. So, right now, the first draft is sitting at over 81,000 words. I estimate the final total will be close to 85,000, if not more, although who knows what the polished story will weigh in at. 

The problem here is that trying to finish Tempered has set my writing schedule back unexpectedly by about a month, which means I'm having to rearrange it. Fortunately, I built in two writing-free months (November and December), so the rest of my publication schedule will be unaffected by the delay. Unfortunately, Say Yes, Levi's story, is not part of my regular writing schedule. Due to the overage on Tempered, I'm tentatively pushing back SY's release to March 2015 and hope that everyone will forgive me for the delay.
