A quote from Richard: "I hate it that your books aren't real 'cause I really want to see that mossy green sweater that Dani made Dave."

Here's an interesting article on recent finds at Vindolanda, a "Roman auxiliary fort" located in Northumberland. One of the most fascinating finds made during the past few decades is correspondence, including cursive Latin inscribed on thin sheets of wood. If you've read The Prophecy, you'll know why I found this interesting.

The eleventh installment in "No Good Deed," a vignette about Varin, the Daughter whose remains were discovered in the Sandby borg grave in The Prophecy, comes out in today's newsletter. There are only two installments left until the story is completed. Right now, only subscribers to my newsletter have access.

I'm nearing the end on the first round of edits to A Wicked Love, the second book in the Witches of Cullowhee series. I'm planning on sending ARCs out around 1 August 2014, two weeks before AWL's official release. If you've left a review (not a rating, but an actual review) of A Higher Purpose on Amazon or GoodReads, send me a link and I'll be happy to put you on the list for an ARC of AWL. (More details here.)

I'm also still offering a free digital copy of Light's Bane (Daughters of the People, Book 2) for links to reviews of The Prophecy on Amazon and GoodReads. (Details here.) If you also leave a review for Light's Bane, send me that link. Even though I haven't officially blogged about it yet, I fully intend to offer digital ARCs of The Enemy Within (Daughters of the People, Book 3) to those who left a review of LB on Amazon and GoodReads.

Yes, I'm really willing to give away digital copies of my books to people who are willing to leave reviews. Plus, if you love this series, by leaving reviews you have a chance to read these books before they're available for sale AND receive every single [subsequent] book in the series free. You can't beat that!

Remember, I'm looking for honest reviews, not ratings. The latter don't tell me why you did or did not like the story. Being a new author, reader feedback is invaluable in helping me craft the stories people want to read. Regardless of whether you leave a review or a rating, however, please know that I sincerely appreciate the feedback. Thank you!
