News Roundup

The print edition of In All Things, Balance (Daughters of the People, Book 4) is now available through CreateSpace. It should be available at Amazon and Barnes & Noble within two weeks. I’ll be ordering copies at the end of this month, if not sooner, so if you’re a reviewer waiting on a print copy, never fear. It will be to you shortly.

The final countdown for the release of the second edition of The Prophecy (Daughters of the People, Book 1) is on. I just heard back from the cover designer, L.J. Anderson of Mayhem Cover Creations, last night. The first proofs of the cover look very promising. L.J. is an amazing designer and I feel very fortunate to be working with her.

I’m turning the manuscript of The Prophecy over to my editor on Monday. As soon as he’s finished with it, I’ll make a final pass or two, after which I’ll make it available to the public, hopefully between 25-28 March. Look for an official release announcement soon.

Speaking of covers, here’s the cover for the first Daughters of the People omnibus, made by me. I’ve been designing most of the covers for my other pen name for a couple of reasons, the big one being that I write faster than I can afford to buy covers.

It’s not a bad problem to have, all in all, but it does necessitate expanding my skill set. For the past year, my son has been teaching me how to use Paint.net, a free image manipulation software program. It’s not on the same level as Photoshop, but it does the trick, and it keeps me from bugging L.J. every single month for a new cover. (Trust me, I adore her, and that’s exactly why I don’t want to bug her until I have to.)

So, this omnibus will contain the first three books in the Daughters of the People Series: The Prophecy (2nd ed.), Light’s Bane, and The Enemy Within. I hope to release it in May 2015 once I’ve had a chance to catch my breath after the release of Say Yes in April.

And speaking of release dates, I’ve made it a habit (perhaps not a good one) to release a new story every other month. I had originally planned to release the fifth book in the Daughters of the People Series in June 2015. That will probably now be released in August instead. I don’t know if I’ll release anything in June. If I do, it will likely be the SciFi Romance I’m working on or possibly the Urban Fantasy. Both have gotten raves from alpha readers, so I expect either one will be enjoyed by regular readers, even those disappointed by the later release of Daughters of the People, Book 5. As always, stay tuned for more release news.
