News Roundup

The blog tour continues. Ashley's Paranormal Book Blog hosted an excerpt of The Enemy Within yesterday. Many thanks to Ashley for doing so!

Don't forget to enter my giveaway for the tour. It ends on 10 November, so there's still a little time yet.

Today, I was one of the featured authors on Chelsea Author Promotions' Multi-Author Party for October. Chelsea has been awesome to work with, as have the readers attending the party. A huge shout-out to all of you!

So, I know I've had a lot of news posts instead of topical posts here lately. I'm hard at work finishing up Tempered and hope to have ARCs out around the mid-point of November. The book itself will be released early in December, so keep an eye out for the announcement.

In the meantime, I'm hard at work on a couple of other projects I've already mentioned (so I won't bore you with them again). One new project is a short story set in the world of the People that takes place on Halloween day. It's told from Dierdre's point of view and features some familiar characters: Maya Bellegarde, Dierdre's mother; Amelia Terhune and her father, James; and Johnny Linton.

I'll also be introducing three new characters, Ruby Woodruff, Jordan Mingus, and Heath Freeman. Ruby appears as a minor character in Tempered and Say Yes, while Jordan and Heath are in the latter. All of these stories overlap to some degree. Because of that, I'm thinking of creating a timeline so readers will know when each story takes place in relation to the others. A lot of the early stories in the Daughters of the People Series overlap, so a timeline might be helpful in sorting out events.

The short story, tentatively titled "Trick or Treat," will hopefully be available here and/or through my newsletter around the end of this week.
