News Roundup

Tempered had its first three stops on its tour of the blogosphere, coordinated by Fire and Ice Book Tours. Fantastic Indie Authors hosted an author interview while author Rose Wynters and UK Romance Readers posted excerpts. Many thanks to these fine folks!

I love my son. A few days ago, completely out of the blue without him knowing what I'm working on at the moment, he walks into my office and says, "Mom, I have an idea." What followed was a short, somewhat in-depth discussion on the use of electromagnetic generators in a vacuum (i.e. space), the effect of artificial gravity on EMGs, and so on. This solved a problem or two I've run into with the SFR, as well as giving me a couple of ideas for plot twists.

And then he volunteered to help me out with social media, which is a real weakness of mine.

Did I mention how much I love my son?

I'm working on creating exclusive content for my newsletter, plus finding a way to share said content without subscribers having to do anything more than, essentially, downloading it to their computer. Right now, the two previously published short stories ("No Good Deed" and "Trick or Treat") are the only items available to subscribers, but if I can finish the Dani and Dave Christmas short I'm working on, it'll be for newsletter subscribers only. This story will explain some of the odd-ball things that happened in previous stories, like what happened after "No Good Deed" and some of the interactions between Dave and other characters in Light's Bane. The only way you'll get that story, though, is to subscribe to the newsletter. Y'all don't wanna miss out, do you?
